hihis, put up some older work tonight that i've been angsting as to whether or not to share more widely. in part it's because it was one of my more ludicrous insomnia bursts of writing, but also because it was heavily inspired by someone who i've not been able to work out a private method of asking permission from (link with the story itself). ah well, i'm perfectly content to take 'em down if the artist in question complains.

though i admit its weird moral ground that i'd probably be somewhat cranky if nintendo complained, when they'd realistically have substantially more right to. probably because if nintendo complained i'd be being singled out of a truly masive pile of stuff, but whatever. anyhow, slowly getting a handle on my brainmeats again, so work resuming in the current projects as well.

bleh. apologies to all and sundry that i'm not likely to be my usual hyperactively enthused self for a bit, it's been one bastard of a week. with a combination of unexpected medical bills, and the immigration department delaying on granting me permanent residency so i can stay with my Owner -again-, it's been a sizeable effort to refrain from slopping my angst all over everybody. And now the Primary Distraction Apparatus has broken.

it's weird, really. a handheld borking really ought to be little more than a papercut compared with the rest, but i guess it's sorta because the little thing ought to be controllable, ought to be fixable, while the big things, there's just nothing you can do but take the hit and keep moving forward and waiting. but the big things throw around so much weight that the little things stop being fixable, and makes them weirdly much more potent for destroying headspace.

bah... that's already more public whining than i really wanted to do. anywho, that lot's a big part of why i'm likely to be on a bit of a downer for awhile. i could be wrong, maybe venting like this is what i needed and i'll perk up again tomorrow. hope so. i could use perking up.

yon thingermajiggy things.

1- i'm a happily Owned subbie.
2- while i'm generally perfectly fine with being short, and in fact enjoy the many benefits it confers, short jokes lead with terminal inevitability to short temper.
3- in RP environments, i have what my gaming circle jokingly calls 'indirect-fire karma'. if i try to blow it up, there will be craters.
4- i'm mentally hardwired that more latex is -always- better. always. this has led to some unique and in retrospect amusing anecdotes. but this isn't an anecdote meme! murahahaha!
5- same as 4 with heavier bondage. with the same result.
6- while i routinely use words from a sizeable number of languages, the only ones i speak competently are english, and one of the several dialects of stray cat from where i grew up. the latter is wonderfully good for really emphatic swearing in.
7- over the course of my life so far at poing of writing this, my hair has devoured 273 comb teeth.
8- i get incredibly paranoid about the ettiquite of memes, frequently to a quite ludicrous extent.

i have my... disagreements with the concept of organized religion and its place in society.

i have my specific griefs with catholicism and its increasingly cultish offshoots.

that said, i d not deny their right to have a legally organized march to inaugurate their special whatever.

i DO however have significant problems with being woken up too damned early the morning by a veritable horde bawling ineptly in latin. sodding assholes.
