sigh. will find out at noon NEXT friday if this time they can do it RIGHT.

WHY did we spend half an hour talking through details, hashing out what could and couldn't work, repeatedly referring back to how what was on the paper was wrong due to my inabilities with a pencil if she was just going to make things exactly to the clearly labelled "poor sketch intended for communicating general thrust of the idea only" picture?

What part of "kitty ears, starting in front at top and bottom and curving back behind the actual ear underneath" means "glue supersized Spock to either side of my head"?

apologies to those who expect me online for chatting fridays, most likely see you in two weeks, though i may be on some tomorrow if i'm feeling better. with luck next week's going to be lost to celebration rather than me having precious little to share besides screams and tears.

REDACTION: on the offchance that those responsible might read this and put timings together, it's not meant personally, but merely as venting, because i've been pushign through the last several days quite heavily, and the past few weeks to a lesser extent, on hope about this hood, and so to have so critical an element to the aesthetic be so very very wrong... venting was needed.

I hate that. You tell them and tell them and tell them, and then they completely disregard what you've said, despite having confirmed that they'd heard what you said, and do it some other way.

That's happened to me on numerous occasions. I sincerely hope that the revision is much better, and not of half-assed 'cut up the other one and glued it back together to make it this way' quality.

honestly, i'm sorely tempted if it doesn't work to try scanning and sending you the sketches, at least that way, if it didn't work it'd be a matter of practise, rather than a lack of care-factor

If or when the evil plan is complete ... I wouldn't mind seeing the final product. Not necessarily on someone (unless you want), but just what this evil plan is (although now it seems to have cat ears) ...

I am willing to do it. I'll need lots of measurements too. There are quite a few nuances to a head and I'd want it to be as good of a fit as I could make it. Just let me know.

I'm sorry to hear that your Evil Plan fell victim to Vaccuum Skull. There's a reason why brainless people see better than they hear. When you look at something, the data comes into thru the eyes and stay in the head by bouncing off the back of the skull. Hearing something, however, can result in the "in one ear/out the other" condition.

part of the Evil Scheme did yes, if it sucessfully achieved its aim of 'face i can look at in mirror' would indeed be subject to the next test of 'face with which i can look at a camera'. but obviously, no promises until tis complete.

thanks. i don't think it was anything personal on their part, if i had to guess, was probably that "no, we're happy to wait for it to be done right" meant it got pushed back in favour of people making larger orders and being "can we have it for this weekend?" idiots, and when they got back around to it, discussion was forgotten and all they HAD was the bad sketch. but then, i'm a lot calmer now.

....yes, copious chocolate was involved in getting here.
